Pendulum slip resistance testing to BS 7976-2.

The portable pendulum is the HSE's preferred method for assessing floor slip resistance. It swings a rubber slider across the surface to simulate a heel strike and returns a Pendulum Test Value (PTV) for each area.

Testing in Edinburgh

We attend sites across Edinburgh and the Lothians, test on location with minimal disruption, and issue a UKAS-accredited report. Because we're independent and don't sell anti-slip treatments, the results you receive are impartial.

Slip claims under Scots law

Edinburgh sits within the Scottish legal system, where occupiers' duties arise under the Occupiers' Liability (Scotland) Act 1960 and personal-injury claims are heard in the Sheriff Court or the Court of Session rather than the English courts. A UKAS-accredited pendulum report gives you robust, independent evidence of the floor's slip resistance that stands up under that framework.
